About Melinda

For most of my life, I was a perfectionist who never felt like I was enough. I internalized other people's energy, believed my worth was tied to productivity, and spent years trying to do it all - the ideal corporate job, the perfect mom and wife, the woman who had it all together.

The constant pressure led me into total exhaustion and burnout. I felt separate, alone, disconnected from life, anxious, and depressed. I struggled with body image, insomnia, chronic gut issues, joint pain, and the persistent feeling that if I just pushed harder, I'd somehow make it to the other side.

But there was no "other side" - only more exhaustion.

My healing journey began with yoga. I fell in love with the practice. I thought I had found my answer to my depletion. I completed my Yoga Teacher certification in 2018, but soon after beginning teaching yoga I realized that I was only adding more to my already full plate.

It wasn't until 2020, after being laid off and finally starting to decompress, that I stepped back and realized the physical practice alone wasn't enough. I was still making myself sick, and getting worse everyday.

That's when everything shifted. I committed to my own healing as a priority. I began practicing Ayurveda and Reiki. I started meditating every day. I discovered Human Design shortly after, and learned how to use my energy in ways that actually support me. These practices became my daily foundation - not just tools, but a way of life.

At the heart of it all is coming back to myself. Treating my mind, body, and spirit with love every single day. Learning to prioritize rest, reconnect with joy, and remember that I am worthy exactly as I am.

This journey brought me here - to guide others through the same transformation. Because I know what it's like to feel exhausted, disconnected, and stuck. And I know what it takes to find your way back home to yourself.

When I began to truly tune into Spirit through my yoga and meditation practice, everything changed. I realized that alignment in life starts with energetic alignment first - when we reconnect to our inner wisdom and honor our own rhythms, everything else begins to fall into place.

As a Holistic coach, I believe healing happens through many channels. I integrate all of my knowledge and lived experience to guide you - individualizing your experience to what you need most in the moment. My work is about creating a safe, supportive space where you can share, be seen, and reconnect to the beautiful, spiritual being that you are.

Yoga, to me, is a way of living — a daily union of mind, body, and spirit. When we live this way, we remember the life-force energy that runs through everything and return to what is truly sacred.

Melinda VanKirk is a Holistic Vitality & Wellness Coach and the owner of LIT Lotus Wellbeing. Melinda integrates body-based and energetic modalities to guide clients back to their true happy nature, and vibrant, joyful selves. She is a certified Yoga Health Coach specializing in Ayurveda, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), Reiki Master Teacher, Access Bars Practitioner, and Human Design Coach.

Melinda resides in Hilliard, Ohio with her husband Jeff and Yorkie Weezie. She loves being out in nature, traveling (especially to the beach), and spending time with her three stepchildren and two grandbabies.
