About Melinda

As a woman growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, I lived my life driven by a false idea that I had to be Super Woman. I learned from a young age that productivity is equal to self worth - working hard meant I had value.

As an adult woman this equated to me trying to “do it all” - working the ideal corporate job, being the perfect mom and wife, and act like I had it all together. This constant pressure led me into total exhaustion and burnout - feeling separate and alone, disconnected from my life - anxious and depressed.

These feelings of unworthiness caused me to struggle with body image issues, insomnia, depression, and joint pain. I lacked self-care practices and the knowledge of how to balance my energy and take care of my body and my soul. I felt exhausted both mentally and physically for many years.

My yoga practice was the first step on my healing path, however it wasn’t until 2020 that I truly recognized the depth of my fatigue and chronic stress.

As a result of being laid off in 2020, I was able to finally step back and see just how sick I was making myself. My healing journey has evolved so much since then, and continues to grow. I know first hand the benefit of daily practices to align your energy and learning the tools to become your own healer, physically and spiritually.

I am called on this path to share my experiences with others, and guide those wanting to explore this journey with kindness, love, and acceptance.

Most of my life I was the constant perfectionist - never living up to my own expectations.  Feeling unworthy every step of the way, and feeling heavily into other’s energy - internalizing it as my own.

When I began to tune into Spirit through my yoga and meditation practice, it changed my life. As I have evolved over the past few years, I recognize that everything comes into alignment when we align ourselves energetically first.

As a Holistic Coach I believe in finding healing through many channels. I integrate all of my knowledge and life experience to guide you towards healing yourself - individualizing each client’s experience to what she needs most in the moment, and providing a safe-haven to share and come together as the beautiful, spiritual, and connected souls that we are.

I embrace the true meaning of yoga as a way of living - a way of uniting mind, body, soul.

Melinda VanKirk is a holistic wellness coach and the owner of LIT Lotus Wellbeing. She is a certified Yoga Health Coach specializing in Ayurveda, Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), Reiki Master Teacher, Access Bars Practitioner, and Human Design Coach. Melinda integrates body-based and energetic modalities to guide clients through burnout, exhaustion, and disconnection, helping them return to their truest nature and reclaim their joy.

Melinda resides in Hilliard, Ohio with her husband Jeff and Yorkshire Terrier, Weezie. She loves being out in nature, traveling (especially to the beach), and spending time with her three stepchildren and two grandbabies.
